ANKARA
Turkish Armed Forces claimed six of their F-16 fighter jets were "harassed" when they were locked onto by Syrian regime radars for more than two minutes on Tuesday.
The Turkish military said in a statement Tuesday that the incident happened as the jets were patrolling the Syrian border.
Tensions in the area have remained high since Turkish forces shot down a Syrian warplane for entering its airspace on March 23. The two countries' borders extend more than 800km.
