ISTANBUL
Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces on Wednesday urged the United Nations Security Council to take action against the Assad regime.
"The regime used chemical weapons against civilians in Syria's northern district of Serakib. The UN should gather and form an expert delegation to collect samples and analyze what has been used against civilians. The Assad regime has nothing left except chemical weapons to use against the Syrian people. Therefore, we call on the international community and the UN Security Council to stop this humanity crime committed against the Syrian people," was told in a statement released by the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces.
The coalition also addressed the Lebanese government pursuing the policy of "staying away" from the Syrian crisis and stated that it was time for Lebanon to take measures to stop the Hezbollah operations near the Syrian border.
