KUWAIT
Turkish Minister of Development Cevdet Yilmaz said that Syria could "lose generations" unless more healthcare and education funds are supplied for children.
During his visit to Kuwait City, he added that the Syrian crisis should be resolved by "political means".
The Turkish minister attended the International Humanitarian Conference for Syria in Kuwait, which hosted delegations from 69 countries and 25 NGOs.
The group met to raise up to $6.5 billion - the largest appeal made for the Syrian crisis since it began in 2011.
According to the UN's data, there are more than one million children refugees in critical condition.
Yilmaz also hailed the Humanitarian Relief Foundation's (IHH) activities for refugees throughout the war-torn region, amid the discussions about IHH's so-called relations with Al-Qaeda-linked organizations in Syria.
"I congratulate IHH for its efforts under very harsh conditions," said the minister. "No one should overshadow these qualified and successful organizations."
