SIRNAK
A soldier was martyred in a clash between Turkish forces and PKK terrorists in the southeastern Turkish province of Sirnak on Sunday.
PKK terrorists attacked Turkish army forces with rockets and long-barreled weapons in the Bastler-Dereler mountainous region, said a security source requesting anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the death of some 40,000 people.
