Heavy snowfall is to take place in most parts of Turkey in specific, in eastern Marmara region, western coasts of Black Sea region, central and eastern Black Sea region, southern and eastern parts of central Anatolian region, northern and eastern parts of eastern Anatolian region and eastern parts of the southeastern Anatolian region according to the Turkish State Meteorological Services.
The citizens and especially drivers are warned against avalanche, frosting, decrease in visual range and setbacks in transportation.
Preschools, primary and secondary schools in 19 provinces including Istanbul, Mus, Hakkari, Agri, Kars, Gumushane, Erzincan, Bayburt, Sivas, Malatya, Bitlis, Bingol, Tunceli, Zonguldak, Nevsehir, Ordu, Van, Duzce ve Bartin are suspended on Tuesday due to snow.
Pregnant women and disabled people working in state institutions and organizations in Istanbul will be on leave for a day according to a written statement released by the Governorate of Istanbul.
In many provinces hundreds of villages are cut off from the rest of the country as the roads are blocked due to heavy snow.
