Governor of the north-eastern province of Trabzon, Recep Kizilcik, in a written statement, indicated that in the last couple of years, visitors from Arabian peninsula to Trabzon complained about indirect flights from Istanbul which made the flights longer.
In order to provide 4 hours early arrival via direct flight to Trabzon, Kizilcik stated that "we got positive result by meeting with Turkish Airlines (THY) and other authorities."
"A tourism agent in Riyadh will start its first charter flight on May 29. Therefore, we aim to increase number of tourists arriving from Arab peninsula to 80 thousand from 60 thousand, last year's figure," said Kizilcik.
