Russian tourists have started to change their domestic travel packages in favor of holidays in Turkey, the head of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia said on Tuesday.
There are growing requests to replace Russian resorts, Maya Lomidze said speaking to the Russian RIA news agency.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced the resumption of full-scale air traffic between Russia and Turkey.
Representatives of TezTour and OneTwoTrip companies told Anadolu Agency they saw a more than 250% rise in demand for trips to Turkey soon after the announcement was made.
