ZAHEDAN (AA) - Search and rescue teams were withdrawn from Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran after death toll was announced only one in the quake-hit region.
Iranian Red Crescent officials said one person was killed, 12 others were slightly injured and 20 houses were damaged during magnitude-7.8 earthquake which shook Saravan town of Zahedan city on April 16.
Search and rescue teams of Iranian Red Crescent were withdrawn as there was no dangerous situation in the region.
However, as people in Saravan did not want to enter their houses due to after shocks, Red Crescent set up temporary tent sites.
Turkish IHH Humanitarian Aid Foundation teams, who were in the region to help, are now returning to Turkey too.
