ANKARA
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) will implement Turkish Red Crescent's project of food Electronic Card programme also in Yemen after successful results.
Ahmet Lutfi Akar, the President of the Turkish Red Crescent, told AA correspondent that they launched food e-card program within the scope of more humanistic and modern system and it yielded successful results.
He noted that, in this way, help seekers would be provided with materials and food directly.
Akar said that card owners would get their food and materials from anywhere they wanted to.
He added that Turkish Red Crescent's card project was becoming more and more popular and said, "WFP plans an aid programme to Yemen. We signed an international agreement with them. As our project was successful, they said that they wanted to work with us in Yemen."
