ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that a great process of positive change was taking place in Turkish-Greek relations.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Dimitris Avramapulos in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Friday, Ahmet Davutoglu indicated that a great psychological change, a revolution, and a change in paradigm was taking place in Turkish-Greek relations.
As Turkey, we are pleased with such a development, Davutoglu underlined.
"Our works are designed to bring closer the peoples of Turkey and Greece to each other, promote friendly relations and turn the Aegean into a 'lake of friendship' in a new period of relations," Davutoglu stressed.
Touching on Turkish-Greek trade relations, Davutoglu emphasized that they wanted to raise the bilateral trade volume with Greece to 10 billion USD in the near future.
Aim is to increase investments of Turkish and Greek businessmen
Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramapulos stressed that they wanted to bring together Turkish and Greek businessmen in Istanbul on March 4-5 as part of the Turkey-Greece High Level Avramapulos said that they aimed to organize a business forum to increase the investments of both Turkish and Greek businessmen.
Touching on Turkey's EU bid, Avramapulos emphasized that Greece always supported Turkey's membership in the EU.
