The U.S. consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday cancelled consular services for Wednesday due to a “possible security threat” against the mission.
In a statement on its website, the consulate said urgent appointments would still be provided.
Diplomatic missions in Ankara, Adana and Izmir will provide service as usual, the statement added.
