Several non-governmental organizations (NGO) in Turkish bordertown Ceylanpinar Friday called for ceasefire in three languages for Syrian people to celebrate Ramadan Eid in peace.
Speaking at a press conference, the branch Chairman of Memur-Sen, union of public workers, Orhan Senlik said that they were dissapointed as their expectation for cease of clashes did not come true in Ramadan.
Reminding a hadith by Prophet Mohamed, Senlik further said no nation is privileged over the other, and demanded bloodshed and clashes to stop by the mean of Eid.
In addition, Young Businessman Foundation Chairman Mehmey Yilmaz and Semerkant Foundation Chairman Ali Dondurmaci made the same call in Kurdish and Arabic.
Ceylanpinar people witness the clash between Democratic Union Party (PYD), a Kurdish group affiliated with terrorist PKK, and Al-Qaeda- linked Al-Nusra Front in Syrian border town of Ras Al-Ayn of Al-Hasakah City going on for 17 days.
The gunshots have been heard from Ceylanpinar, where one man was killed when a stray rocket exploded in a farming land on July, 26, and several others injured.
Security measures are still active on the border and Turkish army keeps guard with armored vehicles.
