ANKARA
Volkan Bozkir, chairman of Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, said on Sunday that Patriot missile defense systems to be deployed in Turkey would serve as deterrent.
Replying to questions of AA correspondent, Bozkir said that Patriots to be deployed on the Turkish border with Syria against possible threats from Syria would serve as an effective deterrent.
Russia was a key country for a solution to Syria crisis, he said, adding that Russia had very important interests in Syria.
