Installation of the Patriot air defense system has started in Turkey's southern Kahramanmaras city on Wednesday.
The system has been transferred from southern Iskenderun Port to Kahramanmaras piece by piece for the last two days. German soldiers are arranging military and technical organization of the materials.
German soldiers have started to install the Patriot system earlier in the day. Radar and missile launchers were installed in upper part of Gazi Barracks.
Meanwhile, Dutch ship "Louise Russ" departed from Iskenderun Port after it unloaded the Patriot system.
Patriot air defense system parts have been carried from the Netherlands and Germany to Turkey's Iskenderun Port. The pieces have been transferred from the port to Kahramanmaras and Adana cities.
130 containers and 300 military vehicles were sent from Germany, while 60 containers and 160 military vehicles were sent from the Netherlands to Turkey.
Turkey demanded Patriots from NATO in order to protect its border in case of a missile threat from Syria.
