ANKARA
Palestinian Ambassador in Ankara, Nebil Maruf said on Tuesday that the attacks on Gaza would end when Turkey and Egypt sent troops to Gaza and that, in this way, Israel's security would get facilitated.
Speaking to media representatives in Ankara, Maruf stated that if Turkey and Egypt sent around 10-20 thousand troops to Gaza, the attacks on Gaza would end.
"Such a situation would benefit both Palestine and Israel. Hamas would not launch rockets on Israel, there will be no need for weapons and routes for sea would get opened," Maruf indicated.
"I am confident that Israel and the United States would oppose such a proposal. However, as regional powers, Turkey and Egypt can convince these two countries," Maruf expressed.
"My proposal could be implemented under the umbrella of the UN. This way, security for the Israelis would get established as well," Maruf added.
