Over 400 kg of heroin seized in SE Turkey
Operations against illicit drug trade and production continue, says governor's office in Hakkari province
HAKKARI, Turkey
Turkish security forces found 401 kg of heroin from a vehicle in southeastern Hakkari province, the provincial governor’s office said on Thursday.
In a statement, it said that security teams continue their operations against illicit drug trade and production without any letup.
In this context, a vehicle believed to be transporting drugs to the western provinces was stopped in the Yuksekova district of the province. While the hidden contraband was seized, a suspect was detained.
