ANKARA (AA) - The historical Kirkpinar oil wrestling champions Ahmet Tasci and Gokhan Arici were in Italy for performances. 

Tasci told Anadolu Agency that the municipality of Rome invited the oil wrestling champions to perform at Colosseum, the most important tourist and historical attraction in Rome. 

"Gokhan Arici and I will be in Rome to present the sport of our ancestors. There will be famous sportsmen from all around the world, where we will try to represent our sport in the best way we can," Tasci noted. 

The oil wrestling will be the first time represented at the annually sports organization in Italy.
