ANKARA
The ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party's deputy chairman has said that there were no secret activities in Apaydin camp where defected Syrian military officers currently stay in southern Turkey.
"There is no military training there, and Turkey is not in an action that it hides from everybody there," Huseyin Celik said on Wednesday.
Noting that the fight against terrorism and the Syria issue had started to begin to interlink, Celik said, "At the moment, Bashar al-Assad acts in the sense of 'enemy of enemy is my friend'. So, it is very clear that he (Bashar al-Assad) has taken PKK under his arms and has been using PKK against Turkey."
