Police arrest 2 suspects for drug smuggling
HAKKARI, Turkey
Turkish police on Thursday seized 104.2 kilograms (229.7 pounds) of heroin in the southeastern province of Hakkari.
According to a statement, the drugs were recovered from a van stopped at a checkpoint in Yuksekova district.
A sniffer dog helped the search and two suspects were arrested.
The drugs were hidden in 199 packages in the secret compartment in the trunk of the van.
