MUNICH
NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that Turkey's deploying Patriots was a real response to a real threat.
Speaking at the 49th International Munich Security Conference, Rasmussen asked European countries to increase their expenses, instead of decreasing them, for the defense of NATO-member states.
Noting that the US was more sensitive about the defense than European countries, Rasmussen said that US expenses for NATO increased from 62 percent to 72 percent in the past ten years.
NATO should do more about missile defense system, cyber security and equipping special forces, said Rasmussen.
