ANKARA
National Security Council (MGK) members underlined their determination in fighting against terrorism.
The statement, released after MGK meeting in Ankara on Thursday, said the determination was continuing in fighting against all terrorist organizations, adding that coordination and cooperation with international community in counter-terrorism was important.
Noting that MGK members discussed humanitarian dimension of the incidents in Syria as well as their effects on regional security and stability, the statement said the MGK members also assessed the recent stage in international solution initiatives in order to stop the bloodshed in Syria.
Recent incidents in Iraq was also top on the agenda of the meeting, said the statement, adding that Turkey would continue to support efforts to restore permanent stability in Iraq.
The statement noted that Middle East peace process was also discussed in the meeting.
