MOGADISHU
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag and Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz arrived in Mogadishu, capital of Somalia, on Saturday.
Bozdag told reporters that Turkey's assistance to Somalia would continue, adding that Turkey supported confidence and stability milieu in Somalia.
Bozdag and Yilmaz visited the construction area of a technical infrastructure set up jointly by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Red Crescent.
The ministers then attended ground-breaking ceremony of a mosque built by Turkey's Housing Administration (TOKI). The mosque will have a capacity of 2,000 people.
Bozdag and Yilmaz also visited the construction area of Somalia Hospital built by TOKI.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag and Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz also held meetings with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahamud and Prime Minister Abdi Farrah Shirdon Said in Mogadishu.
Bozdag said that Turkey's assistance to Somalia would continue.
Stressing the importance of setting up secure zones out of Mogadishu too, Bozdag said that Turkey would support the activities of Somali government which would be pursued out of capital Mogadishu in the new period.
Somali president said that Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Somalia in 2011 had been a turning point for the relations between the two countries, and expressed pleasure over Turkey's assistances in Somalia.
The ministers then met Somali prime minister.
