The judge who postponed the trial in which lawyer Zubeyde Kamalak, the wife of Chairman of the Felicity Party Mustafa Kamalak, attended with headscarf previously, obeyed the State Council's "headscarf" decision.
The hearing of a divorce case undertaken by lawyer Zubeyde Kamalak took place at the Ankara 2nd Family Court.
An attorney who applied for renewal of the lawyer identity but whose application was rejected by Union of Bar Associations of Turkey (TBB) because of her headscarfed photo, appealed for reversal of the Article 20 in the Council of State.
The Council of State decided by the majority of votes to change the "bareheaded" clause in the Article 20 which was "Lawyers and the lawyer trainees serve in the courts in suitable costumes and dresses and bareheaded."
