Renowned Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram said that one of her wishes was to shoot a video clip in Istanbul for one of her songs.
Having arrived to Turkey as part of the "Istanbul Shopping Fest" and given her first concert in Istanbul, Ajram told the Anadolu Agency (AA) that she came to Istanbul for the first time.
I am very happy to be here. I always get excited when I meet my fans, Ajram stressed.
Tickets for my concert were sold out. I am thankful to my Turkish fans for their interest in me, Ajram stated.
I have many friends who live in Turkey. I would like to visit Istanbul again for private reasons, Ajram noted.
Turkish and Arabic music have been influenced from each other. Our melodies resemble each other. I love listening to Turkish music, Ajram said.
I admire Turkish singer Tarkan. I would be pleased to perform a duet with a Turkish singer. It would have been nice to shoot a video clip in Istanbul, Ajram indicated.
Turkey's relations with the Arabic countries developed in recent times. We are getting closer to each other. In the past, we hardly heard Turkey's name but now we hear it more often. I notice that the number of Arabs visiting Turkey is increasing every day. Those Lebanese visiting Turkey always tell nice things about Turkey. Turkish soap operas have a great role in such remarks. We watch Turkish soap operas with joy, Ajram said.
I owe my success in my career to the love I have for humans. I think loving humans and their loving you is a gift from God. I work hard and am a realist. I work within plans, Ajram stressed.
My responsibilities increased after becoming a mother. I have two daughters. I need to spare time for my career and family. To be honest, what I do is really tough but I believe that I have been successful so far, Ajram also said.
Nancy Ajram (born May 16, 1983) is a multi-platinum recording artist and Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
