ISTANBUL
Istanbul Greater Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbas attended a panel discussion at the UN HQ in New York as the president of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
A statement by the municipality said on Tuesday that Topbas participated in a high-level panel on the post-2015 global development agenda upon invitation by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The statement said the panel focused on Millennium Development Goals.
UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson thanked Topbas for his contributions and support in the panel, it said.
