ISTANBUL (AA) - September 4, 2012 - The 7th international Jerusalem meeting took start on Tuesday in Istanbul under the supervision of International Organization for Jerusalem Youth Unit.
Many attendees came for the conference "Muslim Spring Leaves Out in Jerusalem".
Nureddin Nebati, an Istanbul MP of ruling AK Party told AA, "As Jerusalem is important for all Muslims, it is important for Turkish Muslims too. We would like Jerusalem to gain its old status back in the global world."
Chairman of International Organization of Jerusalem, Yasim Mahmud, stated that Turkey-Jerusalem relations are rooted and said, "We are looking forward to receiving Turkish support over the Jerusalem dispute and over the solutions of wall of division. We believe we would receive Turkey's support."
The six-day conference is being followed by 30 non-governmental organizations from Turkey. Previous meetings of Jerusalem took place in Qatar, Kuwait, Sudan, Algeria, Egypt and Yemen.
