ANKARA
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Saturday announced that Turkey remembered with respect the Jews and members of other minority groups who lost their lives under the Nazi rule during World War II.
In a written statement released on Saturday, the Turkish MFA underlined that they believed lessons had to be learned from the Holocaust so that it would not repeat.
"Turkey will continue its principled attitude to prevent anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia, discrimination and Islamophobia," the MFA also said.
January 27 is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
