Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that it was time for international community to re-asses Syria.
Speaking at the 49th International Munich Security Conference on Sunday, Davutoglu said that the psychology of the Middle East and some other regions should be understood well as their regimes had been changing for the first time since 1950-60s.
Davutoglu welcomed Qatar and Saudi Arabia's taking initiatives about Syria issue.
Noting that he held an 8-hour meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in August 2011, Davutoglu said that he recommended Assad to talk to opposition but Assad defined the opposition as terrorists.
Now, after 60,000 people have been killed, Assad said he is ready to talk which shows how irrational Syrian administration is, Davutoglu said.
Two million people in Syria do not have houses and they are hungry, said Davutoglu, adding that Turkey sent 40 tons of humanitarian aid to Aleppo and would continue to send.
Turkey spent 500 million USD for Syrian refugees, said Davutoglu, adding that UN should take some steps too for humanitarian aid.
Although two years have passed over Syrian incidents, UN Security Council has not made a decision, said Davutoglu, adding that what was happening in Syria was a test for the UN.
Commenting on Iran's nuclear program, Davutoglu said that talks should be carried out by 5+3, not 5+1, and Turkey and Saudi Arabia should be included in these meetings.
