KAHRAMANMARAS
German troops responsible for the deployment of Patriot systems in Turkey arrived in the south-eastern province of Kahramanmaras on Tuesday.
The German troops arrived in the southern province of Adana on Monday in a cargo jet of the Turkish Air Force and spent the night there. They were taken to Kahramanmaras on Tuesday morning in two separate buses and are being escorted by Turkish military officials.
Turkey recently asked NATO to deploy Patriot defense systems in the country. NATO approved Turkey's request.
