ANKARA
Turkish security forces on Friday killed four terrorists during ongoing operations against the PKK terrorist group in Yuksekova district of Hakkari province in southeastern Turkey, Turkish General Staff announced Saturday.
The four terrorists killed were detected in one of the caves in the region, the statement read.
two weapon pits were destroyed in the operation.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU. It has waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years, during which more than 40,000 people have been killed.
