TEKIRDAG, Turkey

Five FETO terror group affiliates were caught preparing to cross into Greece via illegal means amid their ongoing judiciary process.

The provincial police force in the northwestern Tekirdag province of Turkey was tipped off that a group of FETO affiliates was planning to flee abroad.

The terror suspects were caught in a car in which they had an inflatable boat, shovels and an air pump.

It was later learned that the judiciary process of the terror affiliates was about to come to an end, where they were tried for membership in FETO.

FETO and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup on July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

Turkish authorities accuse FETO of also being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.
