ANKARA

Miroslav Stoch, player at Turkey's Fenerbahce soccer club, won 2012 FIFA Puskas Award.

Fenerbahce's Slovakian player Stoch's goal, which was scored during a game against Genclerbirligi on March 3, was selected the best of 2012, and he won the Puskas Award.
He emulated Cristiano Ronaldo, Hamit Altintop and Neymar, who won the honour in 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Puskas is an award established in 2009 by FIFA in order to award the player, male or female, judged to have scored the most aesthetically significant and "most beautiful" goal of the year. Ferenc Puskas' name is in commemoration of the FIFA Goal of the Year award.
