ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce will go up against Arsenal on Wednesday in their bid to qualify for the Champions League.
Arsenal are among the most successful English clubs, but they have to deal with five players sidelined due to injuries as the game in Istanbul draws on.
Meanwhile, the Yellow Canaries' recent track record shows they put up a good fight at home against their European rivals.
Fenerbahce have played five home games in European tournaments this year, winning four times and drawing once. A longer tally reveals they dropped only one out of the last ten matches.
Fenerbahce's new defender Bruno Alves, famous for his ten year episode with Porto, believes the Yellow Canaries have a good shot.
"We want to show Arsenal we are a competitive team. We have the capacity. I hope for a good match and a win for us."
Alves thinks the away game will be more difficult, but says the team is ready for the challenge.
"We are excited to play games like these. Fenerbahce deserve to play such games."
