ANKARA
Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Monday held talks with several senior officials on the sidelines of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) - EU Summit in Chile.
Minister Bagis met with the Brazilian Foreign Affairs Minister Antonio Patriota and offered his condolences to Patriota over the loss of lives during a nightclub fire in the university town of Santa Maria, Brazil early on Sunday.
Bagis held a meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius and Bagis demanded Lithuania's support for Turkey for its EU accession. Lithuanian minister, in his part, said that his country would continue to support Ankara in upcoming period.
Bagis also met Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Igor Luksic, Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and Estonia's Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.
