ANKARA
Turkish Minister of National Education, Omer Dincer said on Monday educational cooperation between Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina had to be strengthened.
Dincer received the Bosnian Minister of Education and Science, Damir Masic and an accompanying delegation in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday.
Speaking to reporters while meeting Masic, Omer Dincer said that he was pleased to see the Bosnian delegation in Turkey.
We consider Bosnia-Herzegovina as a brotherly country, Dincer stated.
Our two countries share very strong historic and cultural relations, Dincer said.
"Bosnia-Herzegovina is one of the most important and strategic countries in the Balkans for us. Bosnia-Herzegovina is one of the countries to which we offer most scholarships. There are around 100 Bosnian students currently studying in Turkey. More than 200 Bosnian students have already graduated from Turkish schools. Around 1,400 Turkish students went to Bosnia-Herzegovina for studies with their own means. Such facts show that we have to deepen cooperation in the educational field with Bosnia-Herzegovina. We will discuss such issues with Masic and his delegation," Dincer noted.
