Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz was received by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on Friday.
Minister Yilmaz, who arrived in Turkmenistan to attend a conference titled "The Refugees in the Muslim World", came together with Berdimuhamedow at Turkmenistan's Parliament.
Turkmen leader, highlighting that relations with Turkey were important for Turkmenistan, reminded that his first visit abroad was to Turkey after the presidential election in February in Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly said that Turkmenistan wanted to host an important meeting about refugees and they were ready to share their experiences.
Minister Yilmaz said that it was a pleasure being here and Turkmenistan has developed at high speed.
At the meeting, economic and commercial relations were evaluated and Turkmen leader Berdimuhamedow's upcoming visit to Turkey this summer was discussed.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that he wanted to visit especially Turkish ports.
Minister Yilmaz told the AA correspondent that Turkey and Turkmenistan could cooperate for development of relations between the two countries.
