Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc has said that TRT’s English news channel will be ready to broadcast in 8 months.
Arinc attended “North America Media Gathering” organized by Turkish Prime Ministry’s Directorate General of Press and Information (BYEGM) in New York and came together with workers of Turkish media groups active in North America.
Congratulating the “teachers’ day” in the beginning of his speech at the meeting, Arinc said BYEGM and Anadolu Agency are both 93 years old and AA was trying to be one of the biggest five news agencies of the world by 2020.
Deputy PM also said that Turkish Radio Television (TRT) will establish an English news channel in 8 months after the infrastructure is ready.
Bulent Arinc is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony of AA America Regional Directorate New York office on Sunday.
