SHANGHAI
Leader of Republican People's Party, largest parliamentary opposition group in Turkey, Kemal Kilicdaroglu held talks in Shangnai as part of his visit in China.
Kilicdaroglu visited the venue where the first CPC congress was held in 1920 and met Yin Yicui, deputy secretary of the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Kilicdaroglu was also briefed about the history of China.
During his meeting with Yin, Kilicdaroglu said Istanbul and Shangai being sister cities would enhance the friendship among the two countries. Kemal Kilicdaroglu said every country has the freedom to design its fate and added they support the "One-China" policy.
Asking for support on EXPO and olympics Kilicdaroglu invited Yin Yicui to Turkey.
Kilicdaroglu's visit in China will continue till January 18.
