BEIJING
Wen said that Erdogan had been the first Turkish prime minister who visited China after 27 years.
Wen noted that Erdogan was also the first Turkish prime minister who visited Xinjiang.
Both countries desire to strengthen friendship and cooperation, said Wen, adding that the mutual understanding and confidence between the two countries would be boosted thanks to the visit of Erdogan.
Erdogan said that 2012 was the 41st year of establishing diplomatic ties between Turkey and China, adding that he was paying this visit with a crowded delegation of businessmen.
Erdogan also said that Turkish president invited Chinese president in Turkey.
Deputy Premier Bekir Bozdag, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, Culture & Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan are accompanying Erdogan.
