Botswana's foreign minister has said Turkey and Botswana could cooperate in diamond mining.
Speaking to AA correspondent on Thursday, Botswana's Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Phandu Tombola Chaka Skelemani said that his country had affluent diamond reserves.
"We have significant amount of resources. Turkish businessmen can work on diamond mining in Botswana. We are eager to cooperate in diamond digging and producing with Turkey," he said.
Skelemani said that they wanted to strengthen relations with Turkey especially in the economy.
In regard to Syria, Botswana's FM said that his country extended full support to Turkey on the matter and would continue to do so.
