In a statement made Friday, Terzi stressed that Assad had to end provocations.
Terzi's comments came only two days after Syrian artillery shells that fell on the south-eastern town of Akcakale killed 5 and wounded 9 Turkish citizens.
"Be it intentional or an accident, Assad has responsibility over the Akcakale incident. Assad is responsible for what is taking place at the Turkish-Syrian border. Violence in Syria should not spread beyond borders and Assad needs to end violence in his country," Terzi also said.
