Armed groups in northern Mali on Wednesday announced that they would continue their fight against what they define as "the new crusades" until Mali is freed.
Second man of Al-Muvakkiun Bid-dem Brigade (or Those Who Signed in Blood), who became prominent with the hostage crisis in Algeria, Abu Abdulrahman Farouk el Moghrabi, told AA that they declared war against France and its thousands of African soldiers and said, "They attacked our country under the name of bringing democracy. We undertake protecting the weak as a duty. We like dying for our religion as much as they like living a life. We are going to fight until the north of Mali is freed."
"Mujahideen gave the lesson required to the French and African soldiers," said Moghrabi referring to the "Mujahideen" support given by Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Somalia and Sudan.
Reminding that the French military camps were hit by car bombs and suicide bombs, Moghrabi said "We are especially putting pressure on French soldiers this way. Because, they want to take control of the oil and uranium reserves and put out the Islamic spirit."
Moghrabi also addressed neighboring countries and said, "Don't be pleased. Sooner or later maybe in 10 years, it will be your turn. France or countries like it will find many excuses to attack your countries whether it would be fight against terrorism or protecting the rights of the minorities. Why do France and the western world who are supposedly sensitive to human rights hide the massacre of innocent civilians?"
