Another PKK terrorist surrenders to security forces in Turkey
Terrorist lays down arms after persuaded by Turkish police, gendarmerie forces to leave terror group

ANKARA
One more PKK terrorist has surrendered to Turkish security forces, the Interior Ministry announced Sunday.
After fleeing the terror group, the terrorist surrendered thanks to the persuasion efforts by Turkish police and gendarmerie, the ministry said in a statement.
The terrorist joined the PKK in 2015, it added.
With the latest addition, the number of terrorists who have laid down their arms through persuasion efforts this year has reached 79, it said.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
