AL-KHALIL (AA) – September 4, 2012 - Anadolu Agency (AA) team entered forbidden city, al-Khalil, located in territories belonging to Palestinians in the West Bank.
AA reporter entered the forbidden city under supervision of personnel of Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) and took photos of the city.
All shops are closed in empty streets in al-Khalil.
A few number of residents in the city are refraining from speaking with foreigners.
A shopkeeper told AA reporter that he could not make business due to security measures by Israel.
Another one said that a fanatic Jewish came and killed Muslims in mosque, and then Israel came, seized the mosque and closed streets.
The city which is called al-Khalil by Muslims and Hebron by Jews is one of important cities for Islamic world after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem.
It is also an important city for Jewish people. That's why Israel does not give the right of city's sovereignty to Palestine.
