ANKARA
Turkey’s Anadolu Agency Director General and Chairman of the Board, Kemal Ozturk was awarded 'the year’s most successful agency manager' by Vizyon 2023 magazine in Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday.
AA National News Editor, Hasan Oymez accepted the award on behalf of Ozturk.
“2020 will be 100th anniversary of Anadolu Agency and our centennial vision is to rank among the world’s five most influential news agencies,” Oymez said.
“So far, we broadcast in six languages and we have correspondents in 60 countries around the world,” he added.
“We are trying to be the voice of the oppressed as we broadcast more from the conflict zones,” he said.
As part of its centennial vision, AA will launch its broadcast in French on its 94th anniversary on April 6, and aims to broadcast news in 11 languages by 2020.
