Video footage of a meeting of top military officers at Istanbul’s Yesilkoy Air Force Academy, just one day before the July 15 failed coup, is reportedly filled with code words used by Gulenist coup-plotters, said sources close to the investigation.

The attending military officers, including generals, were ordered not to be registered at entrance, but to use expressions during the meeting, such as, “We are guests of Maj. Gen. Gokhan Sahin Sozmezates” (an officer suspected of involvement in the coup) were a kind of code, according to the inquiry carried out by the deputy chief public prosecutor, Omer Faruk Aydiner, said the source, speaking on condition of anonymity due to restrictions of speaking with the ministry.

The footage shows Col. Yusuf Ozdemir being handed yellow envelopes containing U.S. $1 bills, which served as another kind of code in the secret plan.

The probe also found that all exterior security cameras had been removed three months before the coup bid.

Turkey's government has repeatedly said the deadly plot, which martyred at least 246 people and injured more than 2,100 others, was organized by followers of U.S.-based preacher Fetullah Gulen.

Gulen is also accused of a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary, forming what is commonly known as the parallel state.
