NEW YORK
The long-standing relationship between Ankara and Washington is important not only for both nations but also for the region and the world, the U.S. secretary of interior said on Thursday.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency at “American Friends of Turkey” awards ceremony held at Harvard Club, Ryan Zinke said: “Turkey has been a long-standing ally, certainly we are regional strategic partners."

The secretary of interior noted that he had worked with Turkish Special Forces as a former
Zinke's wife Lola, who was awarded in the ceremony said Turkey-U.S. relations were critical at this point
She said Turkey and the U.S. have been allies for many years and expressed hope that the partnership will continue in the future as well.
The awards were organized by TURKOFAMERICA, the only Turkish magazine published since 2002 in the U.S.
