ISTANBUL (AA) - World's best tennis player Serena Williams from the United States defeated Polish Agnieszka Radwanska 2-0 in Wednesday's last match on the second day of International tennis tournament TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships for women in Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul city of Turkey.
Meanwhile, world's second best Victoria Azarenka from Belarus was defeated 2-0 by Serbian Jelena Jankovic in group white's second match on the second day of the tournament.
In her first match with Errani in group white, Azarenka had defeated her 2-0.
In group white's first match, Chinese Li Na had defeated Italian Sara Errani 2-0.
Na will encounter Serbian Jelena Jankovic at 17:00 in group white on the third day of the tournament.
After this match, Polish Agnieszka Radwanska in group red will encounter German Angelique Kerber.
The third day will end with the match to be played between world's best Serena Williams from the US and Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic.
TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships will last until October 27.
