Turkish player Ilkel eliminated in Australian Open

ISTANBUL 

Turkey's Cem Ilkel lost to Quentin Halys from France in Tuesday's Australian Open game.

World no. 206, Halys eliminated Ilkel with the sets of 2-6, 7-6, and 6-1 in the men's qualifying singles second round at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.

Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the men's qualifying round is being held in Doha, with the women's qualifying is at the Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai.
