Turkish Paralympic archery team bags 4 medals in Dubai

ISTANBUL

Turkish athletes collected four medals in the seventh Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament, the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled said Thursday.

Bahattin Hekimoglu won a gold medal after defeating fellow Turk Yigit Caner Aydin 134-131 in the men's W1 category in Dubai.

So Aydin became the silver medalist.

Nihat Turkmenoglu claimed bronze with a 132-113 victory against Romanian Bogdan Raicu.

And Merve Nur Eroglu and Sadik Savas, who competed as Team Turkey, settled for a silver medal after losing 5-4 to Team India in the final.

The tournament will end on Feb. 27.
